CHRISTMAS FOR A CAUSE
Thank you so much for your interest in helping to make this year's Christmas For A Cause event a huge success. This year our goal is to raise $60,000 to completely renovate TWO apartments within the Human Options Domestic Violence shelter and provide 600 unwrapped toys for the families living at the Orange County Rescue Mission. Please join us for a magical evening complete with lights, snow, special treats and, of course, Santa Clause!
Christmas for a Cause is made possible by the gracious generosity of local residents Todd & Kelly Roberts in collaboration with the amazing volunteers of Bayside Orange County. Please consider volunteering for one of the many fun activities during Christmas for a Cause. For more information please stop by our Outreach booth on the patio after church.
If you are unable to serve, you can still help just by inviting people you know to the event, bringing an unwrapped toy or making a donation to help with the renovations to the shelter.
Volunteer Opportunities
Saturday, December 2nd: Invitation Distribution: Meet at 1501 E Balboa Blvd, Newport Beach CA
- 9:30am to 11:00am (12 people) - Help us invite the community to this amazing event by passing out invitation cards to our local neighborhoods.
Wednesday, December 6th: Baking Extravaganza: Bake Christmas Goodies at Home
- 8am - 5pm (5 people) - Bake your favorite Christmas treats, shift added for sign-ups, bake at your own convenience (200 mini treats per baker please)
Thursday, December 7th: Main Event: We will be meeting at 1501 E Balboa Blvd, Newport Beach CA
- 10:00am to 2:00pm (6 people) - Hulk Set-Up Team, stage and prop set-up, must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- 2:30pm to 5:30pm (5 people) - Set Up
- 4:45pm to 7:15pm (20 people) - Serve hot chocolate, help with dessert table, take photos for families with Santa, toy collections, Bayside OC Booth
- 7:00pm to 9:30pm (20 people) Serve hot chocolate, help with dessert table, take photos for families with Santa, toy collections, Bayside OC Booth
- 9:00pm to Finish (10 people) Tear Down and Clean up.
