Who We Are
Placer Food Bank is the premier hunger relief organization serving Placer, El Dorado, and Nevada Counties. We are a proud member of Feeding America and work in partnership with over 90 local community agencies to serve more than 500,000 individuals across our three counties each year.
What We Do
We serve as the primary food collection and distribution center for hunger-relief efforts in Placer, Nevada, and El Dorado counties; distributing over 8 million pounds annually of fresh and nonperishable food to the hungry through our network of 90+ local charitable organizations.
At our 35,000 sf warehouse in Roseville, volunteers assist with sorting, organizing, evaluating and packing donated nonperishable items, creating meal kits for local elementary and preschool students, and processing fresh produce from our Feeding America partners and the USDA.
We also rely on volunteer support to operate 10 monthly mobile food distributions.
